Education Online Business Class Available Posted 30 December 2008 A comprehensive series of classes, entitled "Find Your Niche on the Internet: How to Start Your Own Online Business," have been created by JJC Media - the operator of the 24/7 Online News Network and this website - to help local entrepreneurs explore their own business opportunities on the World Wide Web.   Three distinct classes, which can be taken independently or together from Northeast Iowa Community College, span 8 weeks and help those new to online web-based businesses explore, expand and ultimately create their own website business.   Successful local internet business owner and former economic developer Steve Huff will offer concrete business start-up knowledge, hands-on web design details and share tips and tricks he learned when starting his own online business.   Classes meet on Tuesday nights, Jan. 27, and will meet through March 17, 2009, from 6 until 8 p.m. at NICC’s Town Clock Center for Professional Development in downtown Dubuque.   The three courses are: I.                    #0023975 OnLine Businesses – An Introduction – Jan. 27 & Feb. 3. This course provides a general overview of online businesses, including the benefits of owning your own business, the benefits of being online and different types of online businesses and will provide new entrepreneurs ideas to expand on.  This class meets for two consecutive Tuesday nights. $49. II.                  #0023972 Developing My Idea Into An Online Business  - Feb. 10 - 24.  This course will assist entrepreneurs to take their own ideas and start to expand upon them by guiding individuals through storyboards and flowcharts, and an exploration of internet marketing strategies and specific graphic and web design options.  This class meets for three consecutive Tuesday nights in February. $89. III.                #0023973 Making Your Online Business A Reality – March 3 – 17. This course will take the information covered in the previous two classes and help entrepreneurs make newly learned ideas and concepts their own with the creation of their own web business. Instruction will include basic html coding, design software instruction and an opportunity for one-on-one assistance in creating and/or improving your online website business.
