"Altered
Book" Workshop will be held at 2:00 on June 22 and June 29 (for ages
10-12). What do you do with unloved, discarded books? You turn them
into works of art!
Altering books is a new craft that's fun, creative, and can be done for
next to nothing. We will get started by learning how to prepare a
book
for this process and then participants will use their creativity to
make their own unique art. Registration for these sessions is
required
and attendance at the first one is necessary as it will be an ongoing
process.

Maximizing the Spiritual Opportunities of Alzheimer's
By Kathleen J. Rusnak, M.Div., STM, PhD
After a person is diagnosed wtih Alzheimer's, new spiritual dimensions
emerge. When identified and described, these dimensions can offer
possibilities for teh patient and caregivers to deepen their
connections with each other and live life more fully before the loss of
memory permanently transforms the relationship. Dr. Rusnak opens
the door to a deeper look at the spiritual world of Alzheimer's.
